Happy Friday! I had a pretty uneventful week over here for a change. I feel like all the wildness of the holiday season & my overly full social schedule seems to have finally slowed down.
Which I guess is OK for a change... I think I was actually subconsciously looking for a little downtime. So I got a lot of "adulting" done & even some early nights to bed.... which was nice for a change. But now I'm ready to get back to nonstop action!
But in the meantime you know what time it is... it's time for me to share the five random things I'm into this week.
JOLIE HOLIDAY PARTY
Yes... you heard me right... the Jolie Salon & Day Spa holiday party was this week. The owner waits til January to have the party every year since we really can't get much downtime in the hair industry during the actual holidays. But it actually gives us all something to look forward to in the winter. And you know a hairstylist loves a good party... no matter when it is!
"GMORNING, GNIGHT"
A client introduced me to this book by Lin-Manuel Miranda... yes that is the genius behind "Hamilton" on Broadway. I LOVE him & thought he was amazing in "Mary Poppins Returns" too... I clapped like I was in a live theater! If you're not familiar with this book like I wasn't then lemme break it down for you. It's basically a compilation of morning & evening daily affirmations with the cutest illustrations too. You gotta check it out!
"YOU"
"You" is my latest Netflix binge now that my holiday TV purge is over. Hallmark's out the window & now I'm back to watching darker things like this. It is absolutely chilling that someone can basically insert themselves into our lives the way it happens in this show! Kinda makes me second guess how public I am! Are you guys watching?
GILT
Someone recently asked me why I wasn't shopping on Gilt & I didn't really have a good answer. So I created an account & cannot stop going on to look at the daily sales! I need to stop!!!!! Do you have any discount/designer apps you're obsessed with?
THE SKIN GYM
The skin gym rose quartz facial roller is a mouthful. I received this for Christmas & am using it as part of my new self love Sunday rituals. Crystal healing has been used for centuries for smooth, youthful looking skin... and I'm basically willing to try anything at this point! When paired with this face mist I feel like not only does it feel good but I'm hopefully firming my skin & really working in the moisture & hydration of the spray... which my skin is just soaking right up in the dryer months.
So there you have it... that's what I'm into this week!
How about you?
Have a great weekend!
Cheers - Hal
