Want longer or healthier hair? Well start by looking into how well you're treating your scalp. Because your hair is an extension of the scalp it makes since that a healthy scalp ensures healthy looking hair.
Just like you exfoliate the skin on your face your scalp can use a good scrubbing. As a matter of fact when shampooing you should be focused on your scalp & the hair's roots - the shampoo will wash over your mid shaft & ends leaving them feeling clean & smelling fresh. You don't need to be roughing up your ends in the shower by specifically shampooing that area.

You can also massage your scalp in the shower to get the blood flowing & increase circulation. Not only does it feel good but it promotes hair growth & shine.

Some other random ways to promote scalp health is to eat your protein. A diet rich in protein helps promote a very healthy scalp.
Take a daily multivitamin.
And last but not least protect your scalp against sunburn.
