It's November, which means the Movember Foundation is taking over. The organization is a global charity committed to men living happier, healthier & longer lives. Since 2003, millions have joined the men's health movement, raising $650 million & funding over 1,000 programs focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health & physical inactivity. This organization is especially important to me because my father kicked prostate cancer in the ass - & because of organizations like this he may not have been checked by a doctor & been able to so promptly take action.
The most obvious way the Movember Foundation raises societal awareness is with Moustaches in Movember. Men all over the world grow a moustache in support of men's health awareness. Some are pretty & some are not! I for one can NOT wear a moustache but I do annually contribute to the organization to do my part... so I don't feel so bad.
Here's a quick pic of one of my college age clients - he already wears some facial hair but I'm sure he'll go all out for Movember. How much do you love his thick & vavy hair?! I get so jealous of dark, thick, wavy hair - as you may know mine is fine, light, & straight as can be! We all want what we don't have.
Do you guys grow moustaches in Movember? Or is it a no go for you too?
Cheers - Hal
