With this week's Hair Tip Tuesday I'm continuing the trend of winter hair care that I took a small break from for all my Valentine's Day festiveness!
This week's tip is to NEVER go outside with damp or wet hair in these frigid temps!
I get it. Time is of the essence in the morning but it's critical your hair is dry before you run out of the house in the morning. I don't know what that means for you... getting up earlier, washing the night before or forgoing shampooing altogether & make dry shampoo your best friend this winter?
That is unless you want to risk breaking your beautiful locks.
“When water anywhere gets cold enough to freeze, it expands.” says Audrey Davis-Sivasothy, author of Hair Care Rehab. “If your hair freezes, it becomes less pliable and is certainly more vulnerable to breakage. So beyond the obvious discomfort, it’s definitely not a good idea to go out with a wet head in below-freezing temperatures."
And that my friend does not sound good. So don't let it happen to you!
