Can you even believe the Fourth of July has already come & gone?! In honor of Independence Day my 5 random weekly obsessions all have to do with the fourth.

PATRIOTIC WHITE SANGRIA

I always like to have an alcoholic beverage by the pool. To be honest sweet tea vodka & lemonade is my pool go-to but for a special day I like to come up with something else. This year I made a patriotic white sangria & it was a huge hit!

RED, WHITE & BLUE JELLO SHOTS

I'm not even gonna lie... my sister actually made these & they were so fun! And just to add to the cuteness she put cherries on top of all the non alcoholic ones for the kiddies.

PATRIOTIC PRETZEL RODS

You've heard me say it before & I'll say it again... my idea of baking is really just melting chocolate. This is something I gotta work on - I made an adorable pumpkin bundt cake in October & it came out great... lifting my self esteem & motivating me to keep baking. Well lets just say that was the last thing I baked & it's July.

COOKOUTS

There is nothing better to me then having food cooked on the grill & eating on the deck in a bathing suit. Don't get me wrong y'all know I can be a real foodie but in the summer I'd much rather be in a pair of flip flops then in a fancy restaurant.

LATE NIGHTS

I love the feeling of an endless summer day without an alarm waking you up or a set bedtime. It's like the day goes on & on & I get to spend even more quality time with my loved ones. This time of the year is so short & before you know it we're back to the tight schedule of the school year so I try to really appreciate those summer nights.
