A lot of people believe that how you start a year is an indication of how that year will go... and I had an amazing January. So fingers crossed for an equally amazing 2019.
The salon was still bumping for the most part & I had a ton of fun social events. Oh & the blog was pretty busy too... especially considering this is supposed to be the "slowest" time of the year.
The only thing that kinda sucked was that whole polar vortex thing & freezing my butt off... but lets not focus on the negative shall we?
So we've confirmed that winter is officially here... think cozy layers, throws, fireplaces, hot cocoa & maybe a snow day or two. It's all fun & games but winter can have obvious downsides to your hair. Instead of doing the one hair tip I usually share every Tuesday this month I shared my top 10 things to do to save your hair this winter... to check those out just click here.
And to check out the rest of the month's #hairtiptuesdays including how to effectively prebook your hair appointments for 2019 & how to get the most out of your dry shampoo click here.
And for a full month's of my Friday Five obsessions click here.
I also continued my amazing partnership with Kenra & helped them introduce the one product you need to help your hair color last in 2019. To read about the new Kenra Color Maintenance Thermal Spray 11 & check out the styles I created for the Kenra campaign just click here.
I also collaborated with Jord wood watches this January & y'all know I love me some arm candy. To see how I styled my Jord & enter to win one of your own click here.
I know it may be slightly off brand but I got so crazy extra for my January book club I just had to share it here. Which spawned a ton of book talk & questions so I also shared what I read in 2018 here.
And if you're not following along on Instagram shame on you. Just kidding... just kidding. Over there I shared these four #stylesoftheweek.
And over on Insta I also share my weekly words of wisdom... you know just little quotes to live by from your truly ;)
And after all that was said & done I'm gonna assume y'all were as over the freezing temps & dark days as I was because my most liked image of the month was this fun & flirty textured & balayaged bob. I think we all responded to it's summery & beachy vibe.
So there you have it... that was my January in a nutshell. How was yours?
Cheers - Hal
