Y'all know I am not a lover of the cold & winter & I love to be festive so Valentine's Day is the perfect distraction for me to help break up the month of November.
So it's a no brainer that this week's five things are all Valentine's Day related.
RICE KRISPIE TREATS
If you follow along then you know I do a lot of home related things really well... but baking isn't one of them. Actually my idea of baking is basically melting chocolate... but rice krispie treats I can do. Everyone loves rice krispie treats & chocolate so these cute pops are the perfect combination. And no baking required!!! I wanted to bring the kids some little treats so these were just perfect. Don't be surprised if you see these pop up other times of the year for other holidays... I mean they were so easy & equally cute... can you really blame me?!
BREAKFAST FOR DINNER
When I entertain my family at my house it often involves brunch... and the kids love my belgium waffles. So when I was planning my regularly scheduled Tuesday night with them I thought why not breakfast for dinner? Kids love that right?! Eating breakfast for dinner feels a little rebellious... maybe that's why we love it? Or maybe we just love a good waffle... what can I say?!
HEART SOCKS
I love to dress festive for any holiday too... but red is not my color. So when I saw these socks at J Crew Mercantile & the price was right I just had to pick them up! This is the perfect little V Day accessory for the man in your life.
ENTERTAINING PIECES
I love entertaining & looooooove a good seasonal piece. Between my time at Pottery Barn, my addiction to Home Goods & my partnership with Michael's I can't even lie & say I don't have literally bins of decorations & entertaining pieces for each & every single holiday. What can I say... I love having things... this is not Marie Kondo approved... but at least they're all neatly stored in bins?!
SAYING NO TO SINGLES AWARENESS DAY
If you have a lover on Valentine's Day good for you... but if not that's OK too. This is not only a time to show love & affection to your lover but to all your friends & loved ones too!
