SUMMER FUN WITH FAIRY TALES

Schools out for summer... well almost. If you're anything like my niece & nephew though you've already been in your own pool several times & are starting swim team pretty much right now. If you've been following along you know we're a big time summer family... whether in the backyard in the pool, at the lake or down the shore we're pretty much always exposed to the elements.

So when I received the Fairy Tales Hair Care Sun & Swim Collection & Bug Repellant I instantly knew it would go to good use. I was already very familiar with the brand because I've been recommending their Rosemary Repel shampoo to my clients with school age children & have been buying it for my niece & nephew for years.

But I digress, today I'm here to talk about these amazing products for summer.

The Lifeguard Shampoo removes chlorine, sea salt & minerals from the hair & has a really pretty citrus smell. This one isn't only good for summer in my opinion - if you have well water with all sorts of minerals in it this would be a great product to use periodically all year long. My niece has already been using it & it does NOT leave her hair with that harsh, dried out feel that other clarifying shampoos often do.

And I don't think I've stated yet that this one is gluten, soy, dairy & nut free - which is perfect my niece's nut allergies. Oh & it's sulfate free so the adult ladies can use it too in a pinch - it clarifies without removing your hair color or any of the other smoothing treatments you may have gotten for the humid months.

The Lemon-Aid Conditioner is loaded with all the good stuff you need to leave your hair feeling silky smooth & manageable. This is a MUST DO in your kid's summer bathing ritual - isn't it a little counter productive to get all that gunk out of your hair only to end up with locks that feel like cardboard?! And as you may have guessed the delish citrus smell perfectly compliments the shampoo.

Last but certainly not least is the Coco Cabana After-Sun Spray which detangles, protects & hydrates your hair. It pretty much acts like a leave in conditioner that you would spray on damp hair after washing but the best part is you can keep this baby in your beach bag & use it whenever you're feeling a little sun parched throughout the day. It has that quintessential summery coconut smell that I can't resist spraying in my hair too. And as you know I have pretty fine hair & it doesn't leave me feeling greasy at all.

The summer kit also came with the Bug Bandit DEET-Free Bug Spray. It's specially formulated with a blend of Lemon Eucalyptus oil, soybean oil, cedar bark, citronella, peppermint and rosemary blend to help keep mosquitos, flies, fleas, gnats, and other biting insects away for hours! It's made with 98% natural ingredients & safe for the whole family.

We've pretty much all been enjoying the products but it's often my niece whose finer, naturally blonde hair ends up looking like a piece of mossy green cardboard by this time in the season. But as you can see our little surfer girl still has her hair feeling nice & her color moss color free!

You know here on the blog it's all about hair so now that my family's all set with our summer hair care products we're ready to go.

Let the summer begin!

Cheers - Hal
