WHISPERING ANGEL ROSE

What can I honestly say... I've never met a rosé that I didn't like. But for some reason I realllllly dig sipping on this one poolside. It's so light, refreshing & moderately priced.... but there's also just something a little extra about the name "Whispering Angel" too isn't there?!

THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

There's just some sort of laid back, listless vibe that August gives me that I just really enjoy... as if I don't have a care in the world. The salon is on the quieter side & everything just sloooows down a little. I try to spend every moment I can by the pool or surf just chillin'. Now if I could just push that nagging bitch out of my head that's constantly reminding me that summer is gonna be over before I know it & we're gonna be back to the craziness that back to school & the holidays bring. All the more reason to really take advantage of these next few weeks as much as we can!

"EVERYTHING IS F*UCKED"

The audible version of "EVERYTHING IS F*UCKED - A BOOK ABOUT HOPE" is read by the author Mark Manson & made me laugh out loud many times. It also reminded me of the importance of a human connection & how great that makes me feel when it seems like everything is in the shitter. I really loved this book.. and if you haven't read "The Subtle Art of not Giving a F*ck" I liked that one even better!

RUSSIAN DOLLS

I know I'm a little late to the game on this one but I'm including it anyway in case anyone else like me hasn't yet watched it. Warning -- the first episode is a bit of a bore but it's really just setting up the storyline. Once I got through that one I pretty much blew through all 8 episodes in no time at all. Think "Groundhog Day" with a modern twist & some serious grit.

CAUS CUPS

I received one of these cups as a birthday gift & have been sipping my Whispering Angel rosé form it ever since. You know those Yeti ones everyone uses.. well these work just as well to keep your drink ice cold but they're for a good cause too. Twenty five percent of each sale goes to one of five charities you can read all about on their website. So basically I feel a little better about spending my days off in August drinking wine!
